The New L&D:  Implications from the Post-Cognitive Revolution

Clark Quinn

Is your Learning & Development up to date, or is it still operating on last century's models?

    Session Description

The recognition that we're not formal logical reasoning beings is one thing, but there are further revelations.  Increasingly, cognitive scientists suggest we're continually tryuing to model the world with predictive coding, and there's a growing exploration of features "outside" our brains.  What are the implications for design?

In this session, we explore the new revelations from research, and then document the resulting suggestions for designing learning that is not just performative, but transformative.
