About the Speaker
Rob Foshay consults on HPT, performance-based assessment and Instructional Design as a founding member and Practice Leader for Hale Associates. His background includes over 35 years of experience in the private sector, including over 6 years at predecessor companies of Thomson NETg, 6 years at Texas Instruments, and 15 years as a VP for PLATO Learning, Inc., makers of one of the oldest and largest e-learning systems. He also serves on the faculties of University of North Texas and Walden University. A Life Member of the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI), he was a co-creator and committee chair of the HPT professional certification program of the Society, the Certified Performance Technologist (CPT). He also is a Fellow of the International Board of Standards for Training, Performance and Instruction (IBSTPI).
Rob is a frequent presenter and he serves on the editorial board of four research journals. His textbook on ID was co-published by ISPI, and he co-edited vol. 1 of the Handbook on Improving Performance in the Workplace. He has published over 80 articles in refereed journals and book chapters. His doctorate is in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University.
