In this ISPI SoCal Challenges InterviewMaricel will describe how COVID-19 pandemic required a world-wide transformation of TELUS International’s award-winning global learning team in countries throughout the world:

  • 1.    How the shift from an on-site training model to online, digital solutions for customers and users throughout the world was accomplished
  • 2.    How management worked closely with the global learning organization to implement this transformation in a very short timeframe
  • 3.    The types of changes that will be required to achieve return-to-normal in a world experiencing different phases of the pandemic

Maricel Perez-Lovisolo is a Learning and Development Leader with more than 20 years of demonstrated success designing, developing and delivering learning solutions across the Technology, Professional services, Engineering, Media and Entertainment Sectors.

In her current role as VP Global Learning Excellence at TELUS International, Maricel leads a learning team of circa 500 learning team members globally with footprints in The Philippines, Central America, Europe and the US. TELUS International has been awarded many Learning Awards, most recently it has been recognized with the Brandon Hall group Gold award for excellence in the ‘’Best Advance in Creating a Learning Strategy’’ category.

Throughout her career Maricel has worked for Best-in-Class Learning companies such as IBM, Deloitte and Price Waterhouse Coopers where she has been recognized as Trusted Business Advisor in the areas of Leadership Development, Change Management, L&D Learning Strategy, Learning Technologies and Digital Learning.  Maricel is a powerful facilitator able to spark ideation and drive decision-making at all levels, including the C-suite. 

Maricel holds two Master’s degrees: a Master of Arts (MA), Political Sciences and Sociology by UNED University and a Master of Laws (LLM), Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain.
